Winter Storm
This past week the weather man was going on and on how Windsor and Southern Michigan was going to get hit with a huge winter storm. So we tried to plan ahead as best as we could, and bunker down for the wind, snow and drifts.
The storm hit us late Saturday night and the snow and wind howled until around Sunday afternoon at 2pm. I have never seen a storm like this since I moved to Windsor 6 years ago. We have about 1 to 1.5 feet of snow and some pretty good looking drifts from the aftermath of this snow storm.
Bruce and Luke went out to shovel the driveway Sunday morning while the snow was still falling and whipping around. Luke lasted about 40 minutes out there and that was enough for him, Bruce was out there shovelling for approx. an hour. When Bruce was done shovelling the driveway he walked in the house with his snow pants on and said we are going to church, "Let's GO!" So we all got ready and packed into the car and drove to church and got there 1 hour late. There was quite a few people at church for a blizzard like morning. I was impressed.
Here are some pictures from our winter snow storm adventure 2007. We might just have a white Christmas this year in Southern Ontario!
Luke all bundled up ready to face the elements with Daddy.
The boys ready to get to work. See all the snow coming down, it was hard to see our neighbour's house at times.
Daddy this snow is really heavy to lift.
Put it over here Dad.
I am smiling under my scarf!
