Fishing off the deck in March

Luke got a gift card from Walmart for his birthday and he told Bruce that he wanted a fishing rod for the cottage. So away we all went in early March to get Luke a fishing rod. He was thrilled to death to choose his own fishing rod and kiddie tackle. However there was one issue with this shopping trip, Allison wanted a fishing rod too! So we found her a Dora fishing rod for a fairly reasonable price.
Once we got home Luke and Allison wanted to go fishing, so we let them cast in our back yard off our deck. Bruce was having a great time with them, and he was casting the line for the kids and one time he got the line over to the neighbours yard over the fence. It was pretty funny!
This particular day was freezing, but it never fazed the kids....as they got to go fishing in their very own back yard! Who knew you could fish in mid March?
